Chitwan, September 11, 2026 — One person was killed after an electric car caught fire at Basant Chowk in Bharatpur Metropolitan City-9 on Friday morning.
The fire broke out at around 6 am while the electric car, bearing registration number Ba Pra 01-030 Cha 5579, was travelling from east to west.
Police said a team reached the scene after receiving information about the fire and brought it under control with the assistance of a fire engine.
After the fire was extinguished, police found one person inside the vehicle in a burned condition. The identity of the deceased, including their name, surname and address, has not yet been established.
The vehicle was completely destroyed in the fire.
