Goa, India, October 8, 2026 — Veteran Bollywood actor Nana Patekar has died at the age of 75 after being found unconscious at his residence in Dona Paula, Goa.
Patekar was taken to a nearby hospital, where doctors attempted to revive him for about 45 minutes. He was pronounced dead at 5:20 a.m. local time.
According to news agency ANI, preliminary reports indicated that Patekar had suffered a cardiac arrest.
Dr. Shekhar Salkar, head of the oncology department at Manipal Hospital, said doctors performed cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) for 45 minutes but were unable to revive him.
“We performed CPR for 45 minutes, but we could not save him. Legal procedures have been initiated and a postmortem examination will be conducted,” Salkar said.
