Rupandehi, October 9, 2026 — Police have arrested two men accused of involvement in a murder committed 18 years ago in Rupandehi district.
The arrested men have been identified as Prahlad Kumi, 68, and Mahendraprasad Kurmi, 60, both residents of Ward 4 of Rohini Rural Municipality in Rupandehi.
According to police, the murder took place on November 22, 2008 (Mangsir 6, 2065, in the Nepali calendar).
The two men are accused of murdering 32-year-old Chink Rajbhar, also known as Muniram Rajbhar, who was then a resident of Ward 8 of the former Dhakdhai Village Development Committee.
According to the investigation by the District Police Office, Rupandehi, Rajbhar's hands were tied behind his back with a scarf before he was shot in the temple.
