Kathmandu, October 2, 2026 — Kathmandu police have arrested three people on allegations of misbehaving with health workers and security personnel who were on duty at Sukraraj Tropical and Infectious Disease Hospital in Teku.
According to the District Police Range, Kathmandu, those arrested are 41-year-old Ram Kumar Budhathoki, 23-year-old Ayush Budhathoki and 27-year-old Sachin Budhathoki, all residents of Kirtipur Municipality-4.
Police said the three allegedly entered the hospital's emergency department at around 1 a.m. on September 30 and verbally abused, threatened and physically assaulted health workers and security personnel who were on duty.
According to police, a team deployed from the Kalimati Police Circle reached the hospital and conducted checks after receiving information about the incident. The team found the three had allegedly been involved in the misconduct.
Superintendent of Police Dan Bahadur Thapa, spokesperson for the District Police Range, Kathmandu, said an investigation was underway after the suspects were remanded for five days by the Kathmandu District Administration Office.
